How would you propose 'putting a stop' on a relationship between two consenting adults? As a mum I wouldn't like my 16 yr old to be in a relationship with a 30 year old at all. Not one bit. My husband would have a coronary. But we've got to recognise as our children move into adulthood the relationship between parent and child changes. Forbidding something just won't work anymore. That 16 yr old could just move out and move in with the 30 yr old if she doesn't agree with her relationship having a stop put on it.
