If you think your girlfriend's resistance to being exposed to anything critical of Mormonism sounds cult-like, you are right. They will serve as a constant reminder to her that she needs to conform- and you won't be wearing any. Someday she may really regret everything, and miss you like crazy. I can pray for and with my youngest daughter and bless her thru prayer.
Because she will think that all of a sudden she is going to hell for being human, that's mormon sexual repression. Yeah man, don't doubt someone who was a missionary will try to convert you. If you end up marrying a true believing Mormon, your marriage will be a threesome. Plan on rolling your eyes A LOT at family get torturers together. The church will be in your bedroom, finances, and all your decisions.
If you think your girlfriend's resistance to being exposed to anything critical of Mormonism sounds cult-like, you are right. So that's something I can't say is good or bad. But you are setting yourself up to leave the Church more easily, and even if you agree the children will be raised Mormon, your kids will likely not continue to participate in the Church as adults. She honestly believes that she has the truth, and that if you are exposed to it enough you will recognize that.
I've tried creating my own activities and pursuing interests but it still feels weird. IE в the comment about not having a husband to give priesthood blessings, etc. Our daughter is 6.
