I can own who I am and I can be happy. While his performance as Pray Tell has continued to receive widespread praise from fans and critics, and indisputably deserves all the accolades, the Academy were blasted for failing to nominate any of the trans talent from the trailblazing series. Not to take away from Billy, and I would like to make that very clear, but I want to see room for all of us. Hailie Sahar born July 12,  is an American actress. Sahar's father was a preacher in a Baptist church and she grew up in a religious household in Los Angeles. Sahar has five brothers. As a child, Sahar was a dancer for L. Sahar participated in Los Angeles Ball scene , and at 18, she became one of the youngest leaders of a house in the ball community by becoming the "mother" of the House of Rodeo, roughly a year after initially joining the house.

Trying to find my place in the entertainment industry has been difficult. There was none of that for me. I had to literally get on my knees and pray and really have faith in myself — keep going after auditions, keep taking meetings. The biggest struggle I faced starting out was the isolation, the loneliness that I experienced. My grandfather was a pastor and my father is a pastor now. Being a woman of trans experience just did not resonate with that world.
